Congratulations and welcome to Durham! Starting over in a new and competitive place is brave—and it's also really hard. Whether you're navigating academic or work pressures, adjusting to life in a new culture, or simply feeling like you've been carrying too much on your own for too long — you don't have to figure it all out by yourself. I'm a clinical social worker in Durham, North Carolina, and I genuinely love what I do. There's something powerful that happens when we finally understand why we feel the way we feel, and then learn how to ask for what we need. That's the journey we'll take together. Here's how I work: We'll go at your pace. Some days we might dig deep into family patterns or past experiences that still affect you today. Other days we'll focus on practical tools to manage anxiety before that big presentation or navigate a difficult conversation with your advisor. I've trained extensively in different approaches—from trauma therapy to relationship-focused work—because every person's story is different. What matters most is finding what works for you.
