Yalily Smith

I started my Social Work career at 16, working in the front desk of the Apopka Family Health Center in Orlando Florida. From that early start, I developed a love for service. During my time as a Social Worker and Therapist, I have worked with a variety of clients, from end of life and grief, to family counseling and youth. Whenever I meet with you, I start with a simple statement. "Tell me a little bit about yourself". From that sentence on, I try to start the process of building our relationship, which is all about trust and support. I will use supportive listening and positive reinforcement to help you work through your emotional challenges. I typically like to use a variety of counseling techniques that eventually narrow down to the one that fits you best. A significant part of the therapeutic process is developing healthy and enduring coping skills that can be used to manage changes in your life.
