Whitney is passionate about patient education, preventive medicine, and has a special interest in working with adolescent patients.
Whitney Kost is a board-certified Physician Assistant and Psychiatric provider. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition with a Psychology minor from The University of Kentucky, where she also earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She has clinical experience in the Telemedicine setting. She is a member of American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine (AOAAM), National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and the International Academy of Physician Associate Educators (IAPAE), where she presented one of her research publications. She previously served on the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) Awareness Committee as well as the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistant (KAPA) Committee which lobbied for House Bill 135, granting PA’s in Kentucky prescriptive authority for controlled substances (schedule III-V). For Whitney, each patient is unique, and it is important that her patients feel safe and are able to be themselves in her care. She believes in a patient-centered approach and prioritizes shared decision-making.
