What I bring to you along with my experience is patience, understanding, and empathy. I make connections and untangle the mess of our minds.

Welcome! I'm Vito Pelikan, LMHC and FIU alumni. Have you ever felt like you can't quite articulate what you're feeling or struggling with? Are you stuck in a difficult family or relationship dynamic? Do you struggle with expectations? Are you repeating unhealthy patterns in your life? Are you anticipating or currently going through a major life transition? Could you use an unbiased, confidential person to talk to? Forget what's going on in the world right now - we have a lot going on in our lives and in our relationships. I believe that I can help to untangle the mess and leave you with a deeper understanding of your self or your situation. I approach counseling the same as I do in life: take time to understand, empathize, and strengthen connections. I strongly believe in the ability to work challenging life events in honest conversation with a trained professional. My place as your therapist is to understand, guide, and educate but never to apply judgement, give advice, or approach with bias. So, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation with me to talk about how to meet your needs. If I can't help you, I will refer you to those who can. My approach to psychotherapy and counseling is strength-based it's core, rooted in humanistic, person-centered models, and is trauma-informed. I also draw from acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
