Temperance (Tempe) Lampe

Intimacy has many faces - from connecting with family and friends to romantically intimate relationships to the relationship with hold with ourselves. I specialize in helping people who are struggling with relational concerns, life transitions, compulsive sexual behavior, and other sources of emotional pain such as depression and anxiety. My aim is to facilitate the development of clients’ potentialities so that they can see themselves as agents of their their own lives while acknowledging the systems we exist within that are beyond our control. In session, I incorporate several therapeutic techniques to fit the individual needs of every client, and I focus on psychodynamic, relational, and person-centered approaches. I find it important to acknowledge the value I place on approaching therapy from an intersectional frame of mind, as well as my role as a safe space for LGBTQ+ clients. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I recognize the need for a nuanced understanding of the intersectional experiences queer folks hold. For this reason and more, I am committed to approaching every client with open curiosity while providing compassionate, individualized care.
