Taylor A. (Taylor) Johnson
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I believe therapy is where we get to create a new beginning and I find joy in empowering my clients to explore, define, and set their own boundaries.
I believe that our pasts can inform us and they do not have to define us. Each person’s story holds value and should be honored in the moment, while working towards who we want to become through the therapeutic process. The therapeutic space is one where we get to create a new beginning and I find joy in empowering my clients to explore, define, and set their own boundaries for their best lives. I find value in partnering with clients in the therapeutic process to address the tough issues that are standing in the way of helping them in creating full lives worth living. I approach therapy from a strengths based perspective while helping each individual client develop solutions that will aid in their growth and overall improved sense of self. Taylor utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help people figure out why it is they operate the way they do, and then develop strategies to improve those behaviors and thought processes.
