Tara Freiberg

Tara Freiberg is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Utah. Before counseling, she spent over a decade teaching, running trauma-informed classrooms and weaving social-emotional learning into daily routines. That foundation informs a therapy style that is steady, curious, and focused on creating safety for exploration and growth. She earned an M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Utah. Tara sees preteens, teens, young adults, adults, and seniors. She works with grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and panic. Clients also bring posttraumatic stress, anger, and bipolar disorder. She supports concerns around ADHD, spiritual or religious questions, physical stress, and abuse. Family relationships are a frequent focus, including parent–child dynamics and caregiving transitions. She offers telehealth sessions for clients who prefer secure video care. Outside the office, she enjoys time outdoors and stays active with her two dogs and grandchild.
