Tanner Cook
(He/Him/His)
Physician Assistant
Tanner pursued his interest in mental health and worked at an inpatient psychiatric hospital where he treated adolescents with acute psychiatric needs.
Hello, my name is Tanner. I attended Brigham Young University in Provo where I studied Spanish in addition to my pre-med studies. I earned my Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from A.T. Still University in 2019. After graduating from A.T. Still, I pursued my interest in mental health and worked at an inpatient psychiatric hospital where I treated adolescents with acute psychiatric needs; later, I transitioned full time to outpatient psychiatry and treated adolescents and adults of all ages with a variety of mental illnesses. After a little over two years in the mental health field, I wanted to expand and hone my skills as a primary care provider which took me to First Care Family Medicine. I am now extremely excited to be back in the field of psychiatry and provide compassionate mental health care to all my patients. I am an Arizona native from a family of eight with two brothers and three sisters, one of whom is my twin. I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy hiking, mountain biking, singing, and traveling.
