I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience serving the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and adults in Durham. My specializations include the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, LGBTQ issues, and parenting/behavior management. My primary approach to therapy is to provide the best evidence-based treatment to match the unique needs of my clients. I am trained and have expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). In addition, I have received extensive training in providing Solution-Focused Therapy and Behavior Management for parents. My goal is to provide each client or client family with the most effective, short-term, evidence-based psychotherapy to maximize results without maximizing your time. I am also listed on the NC Social Work and Licensure Board's list of certified Clinical Supervisors and have trained/supervised numerous MSW students and clinicians who are working towards their full LCSW license.
