Susan is a person-centered therapist with over two decades of experience. Her strengths include being genuine, compassionate, and accepting, and meeting patients where they are in therapy sessions. Susan uses cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and narrative therapies. She is passionate about helping college students, young adults, and those navigating trauma, foster care, and adoption. Susan has experience working with individuals facing severe mental health issues, housing instability, addiction, trauma, and identity challenges. Her experience includes serving transitional-age youth, older adults, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, former foster youth, and veterans. Outside work, Susan enjoys traveling (including four trips to Ethiopia), hiking, volunteering, and spending time with her family, including her husband, children, and dogs.
