Stephanie (Stephanie Wick) Wick

I have been married for over 20 years and have three children. I was raised on a small farm in North Central Kansas and remains very proud of my Kansas roots. After experiencing a significant loss in 1999, I opted to change my course of study. I received my Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2005 and 2010, respectively. I am a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) in Kansas. I tends to work with individuals between the ages of 13-65 on issues related to: marital/couples counseling and therapy, infidelity and betrayal trauma, anxiety/depression, overcoming fear and finding purpose, military men/women/families, and death/dying/grief. I also enjoys working with professionals struggling with Impostor Syndrome and other professional issues. I believe that optimal mental and relational health is first achieved by establishing healthy habits in the areas of nutrition, exercise, mindfulness/prayer/meditation, and social connection. My goal is that which was identified by May (1983)...to completely experience the client's being--not of his/her symptoms or problems, but of his/her essence as a human being. I believe the basis of any good therapy experience lies in the quality of the relationship between myself and the client. Once that is established, good work can be done.
