Shukairo (Shay) Baker

My mental health career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker was inspired by my own experiences with trauma and resilience. Over the past decade, I’ve worked in private practice, inpatient and outpatient care, long-term and residential treatment, community health, and eating disorder clinics, meeting clients where they are and offering personalized, trauma-informed support. Now a double board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide psychiatric assessments, medication management, therapy, and addiction treatment for ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use. I blend evidence-based practices like psychopharmacology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and motivational interviewing with a holistic, mind-body-soul approach. As a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist and DNP candidate, I lead with empathy, authenticity, and a deep commitment to whole-person healing and system change.
