In order to promote positive growth, I prefer to utilize a CBT based approach to address and analyze thought patterns and behavioral tendencies. Assessing cognitive thought processes allows for exploration of maladaptive behaviors and other life stressors that may be serving as barriers to adequate person-in-environment functioning. Addressing these barriers promotes active involvement and accumulation of therapeutic tools to be implemented both during and following the completion of treatment. I work as a team with my clients to address barriers, conflicts, and any other hurdles in which they may be experiencing. I have experience working with diverse populations, with emphasis on trauma-related experiences, grief, anxiety, depression, autism, and ADHD. I also house experience surrounding foster care, adoption, and out-of-home placement. Searching for a therapist can often be an intimidating and anxiety-provoking process. I strive to provide my clients with a safe and secure environment, allowing for comfortability and the natural flow of rapport building.
