I have an interactive style that supports clients in listening deeply to themselves. Office & remote sessions 831-818-0032 sharonnashmft@gmail.com
It is an honor to support clients in making meaningful changes, coming into greater self-articulation, and healing past wounds. Over the years, many clients return during different seasons of life, which reinforces for me that I build genuine, trusting relationships where people feel seen, heard, and honored in their process. My approach is warm, interactive, and grounded. I believe that therapy works best when it helps people reconnect with parts of themselves that have been overlooked, overburdened, or misunderstood. Together, we slow down enough to understand not only what is happening, but why, allowing space for clarity, emotional regulation, and deeper insight. I hold a steady, compassionate presence, while also offering thoughtful challenges and practical strategies when they are needed. I draw from evidence-based modalities—including CBT, mindfulness practices, and somatic awareness—while integrating psychodynamic and attachment-based perspectives. This blended approach allows us to work both on the surface level, building skills and stability, and at the deeper layers where patterns, meaning, and long-standing beliefs are formed. Clients often seek me out during times of transition, pressure, or emotional overwhelm: relationship struggles, burnout, family conflict, trauma, grief, or the quiet sense of being stuck. I help clients move from survival mode toward a more grounded, connected, and empowered way of living. With more than 20 years of experience across community-based, residential, educational, and private practice settings, I bring both depth and practicality to the work. Whether someone is seeking short-term support or deeper, long-term therapy, my intention is always the same: to meet them exactly where they are, help them listen more deeply to themselves, and support meaningful, lasting change.
