Sharmista Chintalapalli
(She/Her/Hers)
Certified Clinical Social Worker (CSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I have experience working with adolescents and adults with a range of presenting concerns including self-esteem, self-image, trauma, and anxiety.
I have had significant experience working with adolescents and adults with a wide range of presenting concerns including self-esteem and self-image, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, limiting beliefs and emotional patterns, and transition and adjustment issues. I embrace a strength-based and holistic approach to therapy by considering the importance of individual, cultural, family, and communal variables in my clients’ lives. I incorporate several modalities evidence based practices into my work including cognitive-behavioral therapies, mindfulness-based interventions, and psychodynamic-oriented therapy. I believe that no two individuals are the same, and as such, treatment should be tailored to meet the unique needs of each person. I am dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to grow and heal. My goals are to empower my clients to gain greater insight into their inner selves, nurture their self-healing ability, and inspire positive change. I hope that through this process, my clients will learn tools to feel better than before. I provide a safe and confidential space where we can explore your challenges together. I welcome clients from all gender identities, sexual identities, and religious/spiritual orientations. I appreciate the complexity that has led clients to my office, and I find it a privilege and honor to hear and to hold people’s stories with them.
