Seimy Briones
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
I welcome and affirm all identities and backgrounds in my practice.
I work with teens and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship struggles, career stress, and self-esteem challenges. I’m bilingual and offer sessions in both English and Spanish. My approach is warm, friendly, and down-to-earth, and I like to bring a little humor into sessions when it feels right. I truly believe that you’re the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you tap into your strengths, explore what’s holding you back, and find ways to move forward with confidence and self-compassion. I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Somatic Therapy. I primarily use CBT to help you recognize and shift unhelpful thought or behavior patterns that might be contributing to stress or emotional pain. I also use tools from DBT to help with managing emotions, coping with tough situations, and improving relationships. In addition, I use Somatic Therapy, which explores how the body and mind are connected, especially when it comes to how trauma and stress can show up physically. More than anything, I value creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. If you think we might be a good fit, please reach out to schedule a free consultation, I’d love to connect and see how I can support you.
