Working with people in the Charlottesville area to develop deeper and more meaningful connections with themselves and those around them.

I enjoy working with young to older adult clients who are struggling with relationship distress, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and a variety of other issues. My areas of special interest are couples therapy, acceptance-based therapy (ACT), existential therapy, and assessment. The best therapy, in my opinion, guides the client to learn to accept all the uniqueness of themselves, connect with others meaningfully, and decide how to engage in life a purpose-filled way. For couple therapy, I emphasize acceptance and change together as a couple through establishing strong emotional foundations. I work hard to create a safe and open therapeutic setting in which my clients can identify what is uniquely important to them and choose to live with meaning and purpose. My invitation to you is to challenge yourself to discover who you want to be and learn to open life up to new experiences rather than regretting the past or worrying about the future.
