Scarlett Foxx
(She/Her/Hers)
Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Other, Psychotherapist
Hello! My name is Scarlett, and I hope to work with you soon!
As a therapist, I utilize person centered therapy to ensure my clients are getting what they want out of therapy and do not have to go on their journey alone. I seek to provide a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I especially welcome members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I focus on young adults. I graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and then received my Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University. After spending some time working at a hospital for eating disorders, I learned to incorporate elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into the therapeutic services that I provide. I also utilize elements of Applied Behavior Analysis from my time working with children with Autism as a Registered Behavior Technician. I believe in empowering my clients with a blend of psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and transforming maladaptive behaviors into calming coping skills. I love meeting new people and doing everything in my power to make their lives easier and days brighter!
