Sariah Hopkins
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
Engaging in this work is an honor and a privilege and I look forward to partnering with you to achieve your mental health goals.
Thank you for your interest in reading my profile and taking care to choose the right provider for your needs. I hope the following information will be helpful. I graduated with my BA in Human Services in 2001, at California State University in Fullerton. I earned an MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in 2004. I have over 11 years of experience working in the mental health field in several clinical settings. Currently, I enjoy working in a private practice with adults in an inclusive environment and have experienced success treating a variety of anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD and other trauma related conditions. I’ve been influenced by many counseling theories over the years, but I resonate the most with Person Centered Therapy which emphasizes the relationship between therapist and client as more of a partnership. The client already has the wisdom to create the changes they want. The therapist assists the client by creating a safe space and helps remove obstacles blocking that wisdom. I listen with compassion and reflect your strengths and resiliency along the way. This framework is where I begin, and I often add other evidence based practices such as CBT, DBT and Emotion Freedom Technique, to achieve desired outcomes. Choosing a therapist is an important decision. If you would like an opportunity to talk more, please reach out for a free consultation. I look forward to meeting you.
