I work with college students on mental health issues and look forward to connecting with you!

It is good that you are here. Reaching out about therapy can be a nerve-wracking experience, it is an accumulation of the moments and experiences in your journey that have led you to consider and seek out therapy. It is normal to experience some conflicting feelings- relief, shame, anger, sadness- as you navigate support. Therapy is a sacred space of exploration, healing, and transformation. It is a place of security to process the hard things, to gain self-knowledge, the skills to own your story and move forward. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, individual adults, and couples. I offer a psychodynamic attachment perspective which recognizes the human person’s need to connect and belong. In addition, I include a somatic-body awareness and trauma-informed lens to therapy. Our bodies hold the story of our struggles and often emotions can be felt in the body before the mind recognizes them. My areas of interest include mood issues such as depression and anxiety, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. Incorporating your motivations, values, and strengths can assist you in therapy. If faith is important to you, I believe it can be a benefit to incorporate it at your comfort level.
