Sarah Jones
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I believe emotions are not meant to be overcome, but are natural signals we can better understand and use to deepen our relationships and life experiences
Sarah brings a warm, authentic and dynamic energy to her work with clients. She enjoys working with young adults experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism-spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, mood dysregulation, and social anxiety and communication challenges. She also has experience in GI psychology and working with people coping with chronic pain and medical conditions. Rooted in her social work education and experiences in community mental health, Sarah believes that therapy is a holistic and integrative process, which includes supporting individual needs while addressing systems that impact symptoms and care. In her work, she seeks to break down power dynamics that are embedded in therapy by centering the therapeutic relationship and client experience. She emphasizes building self efficacy, encouraging clients to take the lead while providing guidance and support. She cares about continuing to grow as an anti-racist clinician, and thus encourages clients to examine larger systems impacting them and their world. In addition, she adopts a collaborative and holistic approach by supporting clients in navigating systems that impact mental health.
