Sara Mairs
(She/Her/Hers)
Community Resource, Licensed Master Level Psychologist (LMLP), Psychologist, Psychotherapist
I offer affirming, respectful support and concrete skills to address emerging anxiety, depression, and/or concerns with communication and relationships.
Early adulthood is a dynamic time of exploration and essential growth in self-awareness, interpersonal development and autonomy. This rapid change can bring many challenges: intense emotions, shifting responsibilities and expectations, confusing external messages, and relational conflict. Most people benefit immensely from caring, non-judgmental support and practical tools to help them navigate this complex time. My career as a licensed psychologist, school counselor and outdoor leadership professional has afforded me years of experience cultivating the trust, connection and intentional environment needed to encourage this healthy empowerment and growth. Along with professional integrity and expertise, I bring kindness, creativity, and levity to our work together, centering your voice and goals as we develop our plan. I treat anxiety, depression and relational challenges with evidence-based approaches, including "third wave" cognitive/behavioral approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the skills development central to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I welcome clients of all ages and identities, and will work to understand and honor your personal, family, and community culture(s) as I learn about your needs and goals for therapy. I am committed to open communication and feedback about our process every step of the way. I look forward to meeting you!
