Hello, my name is Sara! I work with adults 18+ struggling with trauma, anxiety, and relationships and boundaries.
I have provided therapy for a range of ages and have worked in non-profit and private treatment centers. My approach to counseling is interactive and based around fostering a strong and supportive therapeutic relationship with my clients. I am passionate about working alongside individuals in the recovery process and helping them cultivate meaningful change. I believe in the uniqueness and strengths of all individuals and prioritize tailoring treatment specific to my clients' needs, goals, and feedback throughout the therapeutic process. I strive to connect my most important values of connection, compassion, and justice in every area of my work. Connecting with my clients and their values, experiences, and goals is vital in the work I do, and something that is part of my broader desire for justice at the individual, community, and societal level. Therapy does not happen in a vacuum, and it would be a disservice to my clients and my profession to be silent about the oppression and marginalization that is present in this country. Feeling safe is not something that is accessible to everyone, but my hope is to foster a safer therapeutic space for my clients.
