(She/Her/Hers)
Certified Trauma Professional, Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I help clients heal from trauma, anxiety & life transitions through EMDR, somatic & expressive arts therapy, grounded in compassion & care.
About Me College can be exciting and full of opportunity—but also stressful, confusing, and overwhelming. Many students come to therapy because they’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, family of origin issues, or major life transitions. I understand the unique challenges of this stage of life. Before entering private practice, I served as a University Counseling Center Director, where I supported students navigating pressure, burnout, and the search for balance and belonging. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) through the Trauma Healing Institute, and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT) through the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA). I earned my counseling degree from Arizona State University, where I focused on trauma, family systems, and lifespan development. My graduate internship at The Meadows, an internationally recognized treatment center for trauma and addiction, deeply shaped how I understand the integration of body, mind, and emotion in the healing process. My Approach I provide trauma-informed care for clients working through stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, perfectionism, burnout, or difficult transitions. My approach combines EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Somatic Experiencing, and Expressive Arts Therapy to help clients reconnect with safety, regulate their nervous system, and rediscover self-trust. Sessions often include mindfulness, imagery, gentle movement, or creative expression, along with traditional talk therapy. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan to begin. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface and build tools for steadiness, insight, and authentic connection. Why Students Work With Me Many of my clients are students or emerging adults who feel stuck between who they’ve been and who they’re becoming. Some are coping with academic stress or anxiety; others are untangling complex family patterns or recovering from trauma. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore these experiences at your own pace. My years directing a university counseling center taught me how resilient students can be—and how much relief comes from being truly heard and supported. What Makes My Practice Unique My work bridges deep clinical training with creative and body-based methods that invite regulation and growth. I bring a unique blend of trauma expertise, university counseling experience, and expressive arts integration. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s helping you feel more at home in your own body and story. You don’t have to carry it all alone. Therapy can be the place you pause, breathe, and reconnect with the parts of yourself ready to move forward with strength and clarity.

EMDR Institute- EMDRIA
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and release distress from past experiences. Using guided eye movements or bilateral stimulation, EMDR supports the nervous system in integrating memories, reducing emotional intensity, and fostering resilience and calm. It’s effective for trauma, anxiety, and many stress-related symptoms.
Trauma Healing Institute
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based approach to healing trauma and stress. It helps the nervous system restore balance by gently tracking physical sensations and releasing stored tension. Rather than retelling the story, SE supports regulation, grounding, and resilience—allowing the body to complete interrupted survival responses and return to a greater sense of safety and calm.
International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA)
Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT) integrates creative processes—art, movement, music, writing, and drama—into psychotherapy to support emotional healing and self-discovery. Expressive Arts Therapy helps clients access inner wisdom, regulate emotions, and transform experiences through imagination and creative expression, fostering integration of mind, body, and spirit.
