I enjoy helping people find ways to weather change and make sense of the complicated experiences in life.

I enjoy helping people find ways to weather change and make sense of the complicated experiences in life. When getting started, I gather information about your needs and determine whether I can offer appropriate care and also ask you to think about this as well. I see clients on Tuesdays, as I also work at the University of St. Thomas as a faculty member. I find that effective therapy requires a blend of skills that balances maintaining a safe and supportive environment with encouraging risk-taking that allows for new behaviors. I am a strengths-based therapist who believes that all people have the capacity to heal and find fulfillment in life. I have been told that I am reliable, trustworthy, and calming. I am a practical and pragmatic therapist who attends to all aspects of personhood (mind, body, & spirit), while remaining firmly rooted in understanding that people live within a larger cultural context which also bears attention. I look forward to hearing from you!
