Ruben Zurita

Ruben Zurita is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in New Mexico who works with adults and seniors. A first‑generation Latinx clinician raised in Chicago by parents from Mexico, he is bilingual and experienced with multicultural communities. His background includes a year in Indonesia through a high school exchange, undergraduate study at the University of Illinois at Urbana‑Champaign, and graduate training at Colorado State University. He has served underserved populations in Chicago and Albuquerque and is experienced with Spanish‑speaking and LGBTQ clients; he is queer identified and works comfortably with neurodiverse clients, including autistic and ADHD adults. Clinical focus includes grief and loss, sleep concerns, and anxiety. He also addresses sexual identity and gender identity, depression and panic, and bipolar disorder. Additional areas include physical stress, anger, autism, ADHD, racial and cultural oppression or trauma, and sexual concerns. He offers telehealth sessions to increase access to care across New Mexico.
