Rosario Tanguay

Rosario Tanguay, PMHNP, provides compassionate and effective mental health services to individuals throughout Michigan. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she is committed to helping her patients navigate complex mental health challenges with a deep sense of empathy and understanding. Rosario specializes in a variety of clinical areas, including the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. By fostering a safe and approachable therapeutic environment, she empowers those in her care to explore their concerns, build effective coping strategies, and reach their personal mental health goals. Rosario is particularly dedicated to a holistic care approach, often integrating Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and motivational interviewing into her clinical practice. These specialized interventions allow her to address multifaceted issues such as trauma, substance use disorders, and pain management. Her work with diverse populations, including military veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those living with developmental disabilities, highlights her commitment to providing respectful and sensitive care to all. A fluent Spanish speaker, Rosario is able to connect deeply with and support Spanish-speaking patients. She serves a broad range of age groups, providing specialized attention to adolescents aged 11 and up, adults, and seniors at various life stages. To ensure she remains at the forefront of psychiatric care, she consistently engages in Continuing Medical Education (CME) through professional platforms like NEI and Epocrates. Outside of her clinical work, Rosario enjoys practicing TRX, swimming, and spending quality time with her husband, friends, and family.
