I believe every person has the ability to flourish and succeed if given a space where they can truly be heard.
I am here to help individuals through times of change and challenge. My focus is on young adults to middle aged adults who are feeling hopeless, worthless, lost, or weighed down by stress in their everyday life. I understand the process of asking for help can be difficult. That’s why I do my best to provide clients with a safe, judgment-free space during sessions. As part of my work, I utilize multiple approaches in order to find the best fit for each individual. Using aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I help folks identify and label negative thought patterns. This allows clients to see how their thoughts influence their emotions and behaviors and vice versa. It also allows us to begin creating healthier, more positive alternatives to these negative thoughts. With dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), I help individuals learn how to cope with emotions that may be intense or uncomfortable without engaging in self-harm or self-destructive behaviors. I also incorporate art-making into therapy for folks that may have difficulty putting their thoughts or emotions into words and are interested in trying a more creative approach. Art can also allow people to tap into thoughts or feelings they may not have been conscious of. Regardless of the method used, I continuously strive to be LGBTQIA+ affirming as everyone deserves to have their voices respected and heard without fear of discrimination.
