Richard Graymer

Richard Graymer is a dedicated therapist at LifeStance Health, serving individuals throughout Oregon with a humanistic and patient-centered approach. He specializes in guiding clients through challenges with anxiety and depression by using evidence-based techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing. Richard also provides EMDR, as well as FLASH EMDR therapies for all types of trauma. Richard takes pride in working with first responders, addressing the unique emotional and psychological challenges faced by those in high-stress professions. His approach emphasizes helping individuals develop coping strategies and resilience, especially during periods of emotional crisis. Richard primarily works with adults, including young adults, middle-aged individuals, and seniors, offering individual therapy to support their mental health needs. Richard is particularly passionate about providing crisis counseling to help those experiencing acute distress. With his background in existential therapeutic models, he focuses on helping individuals navigate moments of deep personal struggle by exploring the meaning behind their experiences.  In addition to crisis counseling,  outside of his clinical work, Richard finds balance and creativity through his personal interests. He paints daily and practices yoga, activities that contribute to his grounded, mindful approach to therapy.
