Accepting new patients!

I work with adults and older teens who are anxious, stuck, or repeating patterns that no longer make sense. Many people come in without a clear diagnosis, but with a sense that something is off or not working. I tend to understand people quickly, not just in terms of symptoms but in how patterns organize and reinforce each other, which allows us to get oriented early and move toward something that actually helps. In our work together, I spend time getting to understand you and your specific patterns in thinking, relationships, and responses to stress. This allows treatment to be more targeted and grounded in what is actually driving your experience, rather than relying on a generic or trial-and-error approach. I provide both medication management and therapy, often together. When medication is part of treatment, it is used deliberately and in context, not as a shortcut. My background is in academic and consult-liaison psychiatry, where I worked with more complex or unclear presentations, so I am comfortable taking the time to sort things out without rushing to a label. I keep a smaller practice so there is enough space to think carefully about each person and work in a steady, ongoing way.
