I use CBT and strengths to support students with managing their anxiety as well as identifying healthy ways to manage stress and build connections.
I have a passion for supporting college and grad students as they navigate this challenging time in their lives. Anxiety, stress, lack of strong connections, friendship issues and loneliness are all common stressors that can come up in college and grad school. My goal is to support students in managing these challenges and identify strategies to reduce the negative impact these issues have on the day to day experiences of students. I support students with changing their anxious thoughts to more realistic ones and help them identify healthy ways to cope with stress and build strong connections that will help them feel a sense of belonging and confidence. My practice is fully telehealth which allows students to see me from the comfort of their dorm room, apartment or another private space in or around campus. I also have day and evening appointments available so students can see me between or after their classes or other commitments. I am in network with several insurances as well which makes therapy more affordable and takes away the financial stress of getting help. I want to make therapy accessible and affordable for students. College and grad school are stressful enough! Don't hesitate to reach out for support from a therapist who can provide a safe space to process the many stressors that come in your 20s. For any student who is interested in my services, send me an email at rachel.siegel@gentleminds.hush.com and we will schedule a free consult to see if we are a good fit for each other. I look forward to hearing from you!
