(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Rachel works with women who experience high anxiety and panic attacks, have a history of trauma or neglect, and feel disconnected from their bodies.
For most of my life I have been extremely curious about the connections between the brain and body and how, in therapy, we can intentionally lean into our body’s innate desire for health and joy. When I started training for a career in mental health it felt natural to focus on this brain+body interaction primarily by undergoing specialized training in how to mobilize neuroplasticity in therapy called Complex Integration of Multiple Brain Systems (CIMBS). Naturally someone who loves “newness,” this approach to continually tuning in to the new present moment available to all of us is a natural fit. This method has proven extremely successful in working with women with depression, anxiety and trauma. My work is also significantly informed by relational psychodynamic therapy and attachment research. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and also a licensed Clinical Supervisor, which allows me to support other therapists as they develop their own new skills. I specialize in helping women who do not feel valued or seen, women who feel overwhelmed with anxiety, and women who feel disconnected from their bodies and at war with them. Rachel offers individual therapy in Seattle, WA, and provides telehealth services. She has 11 years of experience working with adults, seniors, and young adults, focusing on issues like anger, life transitions, and work/life balance. Rachel is an LGBTQ ally and offers a sliding scale for payment, accepting out-of-network insurance.
