Rachel Howard

Supporting underserved communities and diverse populations is the central passion of Rachel Howard, a clinical therapist based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. She specializes in working with adolescents and young adults, creating an affirming space where clients feel empowered and heard. As an Army Reservist, Rachel also has a deep interest in assisting military veterans as they identify and process PTSD and adjustment disorders. Her evidence-based practice is built upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and trauma-informed care. Rachel is certified in ARC Trauma Training (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency), offering a goal-oriented structure to help individuals challenge negative thought patterns and develop effective coping strategies for improved mental well-being. She holds a Master of Social Work from Winthrop University and earned bachelor's degrees in both Psychology and Sociology from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. As an LGSW clinician, Rachel incorporates Narrative and Intuitive Therapy to help clients examine their life stories. By rewriting these narratives, she supports individuals in quieting the lies of anxiety and reclaiming control to become the hero of their own journey. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys CrossFit, reading, and riding horses, and often revisits favorite shows like Gilmore Girls and Scandal. Rachel currently provides services for new clients both virtually and in-person in Eden Prairie.
