At the time he left Kaiser, Dr. Hampton had served two years as the Associate Regional Chief of Mental Health. Before going to Kaiser he worked as Psychologist and Director of Residential Services with the Wake County Mental Health “Willy M” treatment program for violent children in need of mental health services. Dr. Hampton worked as a staff psychologist at Catholic Family Services in Miami Florida for three years prior to moving to North Carolina. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Abilene Christian University and received his master’s degree in clinical psychology at the University of Tulsa. Dr. Hampton's doctoral degree in clinical psychology is from the University of Miami and included a sub-specialty in behavioral medicine. He completed his internship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Hampton is a licensed psychologist in North Carolina offering online therapy from Durham. He provides therapy for teens, young adults, adults, and seniors, addressing conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. Fluent in Spanish, he uses cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused interventions.
