Welcome! I’m Pat Spencer, and I understand that the search for a therapist can feel overwhelming. You’re looking for someone truly listens to you, someone who can gently guide you while also empowering you to grow. My goal is to create that safe and trusting space where you can truly thrive.I offer in-person services in Highland Park, New Jersey, and telehealth services for those New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Mexico. I am passionate about supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on: The LGBTQ+ population: As someone with both professional and personal ties to the LGBTQIA+ community, I affirm gender diversity as a natural and healthy part of identity. Athletes: From beginners to seasoned competitors, I work with athletes of all ability levels to address the mental aspects of their performance and overall well-being. I am a vetted provider listed on the US Olympic and Paralympic provider directory and on the NFL Provider Directory. Veterans: My roots in a military family and my experience with military and Veteran peer support programs allow me to offer culturally sensitive care to those who have served. Adults (16+): I work with individuals aged 16 and older, helping them navigate life's challenges, including trauma, depression, anxiety, and performance-related concerns. My style is collaborative and compassionate, fostering a therapeutic relationship that is both healing and transformative. I firmly believe in the mind-body connection and tailor my approach to your unique needs. Importantly, I am EMDR trained through EMDRIA, providing a specialized approach for processing challenging experiences. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a certified clinical supervisor in New Jersey, committed to mentoring the next generation of social workers.
