Noah Goldstein
(He/Him/His)
Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist
Private psychiatry and psychotherapy services in a discreet and comfortable setting, just one block from Duke's East Campus.
I prioritize open-ended, non-judgmental exploration of your inner world, and I am glad to assist with a variety of concerns related to mood, anxiety, attention, trauma, personality, identity, self-esteem, substances, relationships, and difficult early life experiences. I will work closely with you so that we may gradually develop a deeper understanding of your mental world and your lived experiences to promote increasing self-acceptance and inner freedom. I believe that medications are an important part of treatment for some individuals, and I am glad to help you to develop a rational medication plan if desired. I am also sensitive to the mounting evidence that medications alone may not adequately address the concerns that lead us to seek treatment, and that therapy is often essential for healing and growth. To that end, I am happy to work with patients in intensive, long-term psychotherapy either as a stand-alone treatment or along with medications. I welcome patients of any race, nationality, gender, sexual identity, and spiritual tradition, and I strive to remain mindful of the many ways in which identity and culture may influence our mental health and relatedness.
