Nicole Nimmons

Like many therapists, I went into this field to help people. I opted to study systems and relational healing by becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist. Through my training, I was taught to look at people and their presenting concerns through relational and attachment-based lenses. I know people do not exist in bubbles and, because of that, "individual pathology" does not often work without assessing the people, places, and systems that make functioning (or dysfunctioning) possible. As an avid, life-long learner, I strive to continue honing my skills as a therapist. It's precisely for this reason that I have gone on to learn how to do EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapy, and Emotionally Focused Individual, Couple (and soon to be Family) therapy. By choosing to work with me (or any of the therapist's in my practice), you are choosing to work with someone who will see you, and all of your many layers and systems, and use that as a frame to guide our work together.
