Nan MacLean

Nan MacLean is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides comprehensive, compassionate care to patients in Orient, Ohio. Her clinical practice is centered on healthy lifestyles, mindfulness, personal empowerment, and medication management, with a specific focus on trauma-informed care and self-actualization. Nan serves a broad range of adults, supporting individuals from age 18 through 64. Her academic background includes a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and a master's degree in biology, followed by two master's degrees in psychiatric mental health nursing from Case Western Reserve University and The Ohio State University. She is currently advancing her expertise by pursuing a doctoral degree at The Ohio State University, specializing in holistic mental health. Nan’s extensive professional history includes serving as a registered nurse in diverse settings such as correctional medicine, addiction medicine, and both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities. Through these varied experiences, she has developed a deep understanding of the necessity of treating the whole person—addressing the mind, body, and spirit. To ensure accessible care for diverse populations, Nan is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese. Outside of her clinical work, she finds balance through camping, journaling, and spending time with her family and friends.
