Monica Martini
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
Hello! Ola! Hola! Trauma and attachment focused trilingual psychotherapist working with children, adolescents and adults in the Raleigh area.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor providing counseling services and psychotherapy to individuals and families in the state of North Carolina since 2016. Prior to that I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist in Brazil serving children through Play Therapy. I have experience with populations from diverse backgrounds and my services are provided in English, Spanish and Portuguese. My counseling approach was initially founded in the psychoanalytical/psychodynamic perspective and has evolved to a more integrative/eclectic view of psychotherapy. I am a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Levels I and II), trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-informed care, attachment theory, motivational interviewing, mindfulness techniques, and polyvagal theory. I am currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) in North Carolina, after having completed the specific training and achieved the professional experience required for such. I strive to create a non-judgmental environment by genuineness, empathy, and unconditional acceptance of all beings.
