In life & sports, we get mixed messages about emotions. My work focuses on using your feelings to get what you want. Be aggressive but Adjust the Flame!

I have been working with athletes for almost 30 years. I am an expert in anger management, sexual/domestic violence & trauma. I work on both sides of the coin - reducing transgressions and improving performance. I believe the goal of treatment should always be to end treatment. Everything in my work focuses on empowerment. I am directive in therapy and will challenge you to be the best version of yourself. That said, people come with baggage and scars. We cannot change the past, but we can decide how we will understand things, resolve past traumas, change our perspectives, and improve today and tomorrow. I encourage people to be aggressive in pursuing their goals in life - success, happiness, and healthy relationships. This requires people to strike a balance of self-compassion and accountability. I am one of only a handful of sport psychologists who is also a forensic psychologist, so I understand deviant behavior in ways the average provider doesn't. In addition to therapeutic services, I also provide evaluations that help understand why people have acted the way they have and how to develop plans to move forward in a healthier direction.
