Misty Humphrey
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I provide a safe, non-judgmental place for clients to work on trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
My goal is to empower clients to heal, regain control of their lives, rebuild/strengthen relationships and be their best version of themselves. My use of humor, down to earth demeanor and unconditional acceptance makes my approach to therapy relaxing, inviting, and encouraging. My therapeutic approach incorporates principles from various theories including, Trauma Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectic Behavior, Person Centered, Solution Focused, and Emotion focused. I am also a Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy practitioner. My experience includes working in the criminal justice field for eight years, and providing mental health treatment in a community mental health center, crisis department, prison, and children’s psychiatric hospital.
