Milton Anderson

Dr. Milton Anderson prioritizes the quick establishment of a strong working alliance with his patients, allowing for an efficient transition from the initial intake process into active problem-solving. Practicing in Virginia since 1992, he offers psychiatric care informed by a career spent in diverse clinical environments, including the United States military as an Army Medical Officer, various school settings, and large-scale medical systems. Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine and completed his internship and general psychiatry residency at Walter Reed Medical Center, where he also finalized a specialized fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. Based in Reston, he serves a broad range of age groups, providing support to children, preteens, teens, young adults, and adults. His clinical practice incorporates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and he provides specialized services including medical procedure evaluations and guidance on parenting skills.
