Michelle Fortier
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
My favorite thing is to help people who are experiencing misery and distress to build a life worth living using DBT.
I am looking forward to working with you. I graduated in 2008 with my MSW from Florida Atlantic University with a concentration in clinical work with adults. My specialty is working with adolescents and adults who have a history of self-harm and suicidal ideation as well as clients who have a history of childhood abuse. I offer full protocol Dialectical Behavior Therapy (individual DBT, skills group, phone coaching and I attend a DBT consultation team) as well as DBT informed treatment. I am also able to successful treat anxiety disorders and depressive disorders using cognitive behavioral therapy and exposure therapy. I treat trauma using Brainspotting as well as using prolonged exposure therapy. My goal is to help you reduce your suffering, get you out of therapy and back into a life you are content with, free from self- destructive behaviors like self-harm, destroying relationships, drug use and suicide attempts. I am also an inclusive practice that has experience working with a multitude of people of from marginalized and discriminated against groups.
