Creating a trusting, supportive space where you can explore your feelings and build a healthy, balanced, and authentic life that matters to you.

I believe everyone deserves to live a life that feels true to themselves—balanced, meaningful, and grounded in authenticity. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, helping you find ways to feel more steady, connected, and hopeful. For many students, what they’re dealing with goes beyond academics—it’s stress, anxiety, pressure, and everything that comes with it. I work with college students navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, imposter syndrome, relationship challenges, trauma, and life transitions. I also support graduate students and first-generation students who may be facing added pressure, identity challenges, or high expectations. In our work together, we focus on helping you understand what’s going on beneath the surface, build practical tools to manage it, and create changes that feel realistic and sustainable. With over 20 years in the mental health field, I’ve worked in a variety of settings—from residential treatment and psychiatric hospitals to community agencies and government programs. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on mental health and a deep respect for each person’s story. I hold a degree in Psychology from UCSC and a Master’s in Social Work from San Jose State, which inform my approach with both clinical knowledge and compassion. Therapy is a partnership, and my role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your feelings, build resilience, and grow toward the life you want. If you’re ready to take that step, I’m here to support you. You’re invited to a free initial session to see if my support feels right for you and to ask any questions. I accept UCShip/Anthem Blue Cross. UC SHIP: UCSC, UCLA, UCSB, UCSF, UCSD, UCM, UCR. Warmly, Melissa
