Melissa Seldon

Melissa Seldon is a dedicated counselor who helps adults throughout Georgia navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and restore balance through thoughtful, individualized therapy. She creates a supportive clinical space where patients can process difficult experiences, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful personal change. Grounded in empathy and structure, Melissa provides evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of each individual. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while offering additional support for mood disorders, identity concerns, and life stressors. Her practice serves adults and seniors facing concerns such as persistent worry, emotional dysregulation, trauma recovery, and major life transitions. By utilizing a collaborative and empowering therapeutic style, she helps clients understand patterns, build insight, and develop practical tools for daily functioning and long-term wellness. Her clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions, with additional modalities available to support specific treatment goals. Melissa has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, military service members and veterans, and other diverse adult populations seeking culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. She earned her degree from Troy University and has been in clinical practice since 2022. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling and exploring art, interests that enrich her appreciation for creativity, perspective, and human connection.
