Melissa Bleiler
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Helping clients of all identities create a life of enjoyment, strengthen their relationships, and identify their unique goals.
My approach is to meet each client or couple where they’re at and help them get to where they want to go, whether that’s easing symptoms of anxiety, improving their relationship, or exploring some of the many aspects of their identity (sexuality, gender, partnerships, academics, career, etc) and what’s next for them. I am a generalist, and I also have expertise working with relationships and the alt-sex community. If you are feeling stuck or confused in your life, counseling can help you define past influences that got you here and where you want to go, and provide you with skills and guidance to get there. I move clients toward insight with a client-centered intentionality. My methods include EMDR for trauma, creative therapy, geek therapy, CBT/DBT, and experiential therapies such as parts work. I am a kink- and poly-identifying counselor with a strong commitment to confidentiality and open acceptance. I see clients online and welcome you to call and see if we would be a good fit. I tend to utilize a heavy dose of acceptance and humor with clients, because sometimes life is absurd and backwards, but that doesn't need to stop you from finding purpose and enjoyment.
