Melinda Lowry

Providing care for toddlers, elementary-age children, pre-teens, teens, and young adults, Melinda Lowry is a dedicated counselor based in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. She earned her Master’s in Community Counseling from Bethel University and is currently advancing her professional credentials as she works toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). As a community-based therapist, Melinda brings mental health services directly into schools and homes, a practice she finds particularly rewarding. She views every home visit as an opportunity to learn and deeply appreciates the diverse cultures, ethnicities, and faith values that each family shares. Melinda’s clinical expertise covers a broad range of areas, including the treatment of depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She also specializes in supporting individuals navigating their gender identity and addressing childhood behavioral issues or school avoidance. Her approach is highly adaptable, allowing her to work effectively within non-English speaking households to ensure families feel supported regardless of language barriers. Throughout her practice, Melinda utilizes therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Therapy, Mindfulness, and Parenting Skills to help her clients achieve growth and healing.
