I recognize that starting a journey of change can be both exciting and daunting. My goal is to honor and celebrate the courage you bring to this process.

Hello! I’m Melina Johnson. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, and a Master's in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). I recognize that starting a journey of change can be both exciting and daunting. My goal is to honor and celebrate the courage you bring to this process. I’m passionate about working with individuals from all walks of life, believing that each path to healing is deeply personal. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with relationships, or disheartened by your current situation, I’m here to offer the support and guidance you need to help you rediscover your sense of purpose and well-being. I tailor my supportive and adaptable approach to each client by integrating my person-centered philosophy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and self-compassion work. I am dedicated to collaborating with you to explore and navigate your path toward healing and fulfillment. I am truly inspired by the progress you’ve made so far, and I look forward to being a part of your continued journey toward a more fulfilling life.
