Megan Smith
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
I strive to create an environment in which my clients can learn to enjoy their life, trust themselves, and become the person they want to be.
Old traumas can definitely creep into the present, but they aren’t the only thing that may drag you back from happiness and being who you want to be. Contentious relationships in the here and now can leave you feeling boxed in and unheard, too. You want that connection you once had or dreamed of, the love and togetherness. But everything you try seems to lead to more hurt. And that hurt sometimes eats at you, consumes you, and leaves you feeling desperately alone and frustrated. It doesn’t have to be that way. Together we can find your path forward. That might be helping you break free from the past. It might be helping you heal your relationship and find that spark and connection you once had. Or it might be saying goodbye to that relationship and finding yourself again. Whatever it is, I’m here to help. I use several different therapy frameworks to help. I’m trained in DBT and Gotman (level 1) and I tailor my approach to fit your specific needs. I often work with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationships but I have experience working with all different kinds of challenges in a variety of settings. Helping people heal and create the life they want to live is my passion. If that’s what you’re looking for, give me a call. Here are a few fun facts about me: Outside of counseling, I love spending time with my puppy named Guinness (the most adorable pit mix ever), hiking, listening to music, and going to concerts whenever I get the chance.
