Meegan Urbanek

Working from a client-centered and harm reduction approach, Meegan Urbanek is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor in Colorado who has been in practice for more than fourteen years. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Wyoming and has completed post-graduate training in EMDR, alongside being a Certified Daring Way Facilitator. Meegan focuses her clinical work on supporting individuals aged 22 to 65 and older, with specialized expertise in addressing shame, addiction, and trauma. Her treatment repertoire includes a variety of techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, solution-focused therapy, grief work, trauma-informed care, and psychoeducation. She is dedicated to helping patients navigate challenges related to fear, depression, guilt, unworthiness, and anxiety. By encouraging vulnerability and courage, Meegan partners with her clients to facilitate meaningful change and foster a sense of hope, balance, and freedom in their lives.
